My Quit:
I'm a 45 year old trucker from Denver. I quit cold turkey on December 2nd, 2004, to honor my mother's birthday. She passed on in June the same year.

QuitNet helped me mostly by showing me how long it has been and how many cigarettes I did not smoke. Setting goals and watching them come and go was a big help. N.O.P.E still stays with me to this day. The urge to smoke is almost gone.

Advice:
DO NOT think you can't do it. You can! I did and I was the most notorious hard-core smoker I ever knew.
