My Quit:
I am on 26 days quit. I have been smoking for 27 years and am only 36 years old.

I thought I would quit when I was 30. Now that I am almost 40 I decided it was time. Or else it is probable that I will develop lung cancer and/or emphysema. I don't want to put my children and husband through that.

I feel confident that I can stay quit and that is very much due to QuitNet. The people here are great, understanding, supportive, non-judgemental when people slip, and there for you with encouraging words when you most need it.

Advice:
Keep doing the things you loved while smoking- like take that 15 minutes and go outside anyway, but bring a snack or a book instead of the cigarettes.

photoDon't tell youself that you are quitting forever. Just say "I won't smoke today." Say that every day.
