My Quit:
My brother would have been 49 on Aug 10.

We had a party for him this time last year. He looked at me before the guests arrived and said..."last one". He was gone two months later.

He fought throat cancer for two years (two radical surgeries, radiation, chemo, trach tube, feeding tube, you name it)...before it choked the life out him.

1 day, 13 hours, 24 minutes and 50 seconds smoke free. 25 cigarettes not smoked. $6.72 and 4 hours of my life saved! My quit date: 8/10/2006

Advice:
It's hard to quit, but not as hard as watching a brother die.

I miss the nicotine, but not as much as I miss my brother.
