My Quit:
I am 37 years old and have smoked since I was 14. After several failed attempts I found the Q....and it's really been beneficial to my success. I hung around the forums for over a week before my actual quit. I believe that is vital to a successful attempt.

Posting often is important - it helps to build relationships and friendships you will need! I love the support and encouragement this site gives to me.

After losing my father at a young age (he died of congestive heart failure in 1982 - he was only 44 years old & a heavy smoker) and my mother now has many problems with her body due to 40+ years of smoking, I decided to not "repeat" history. You can do it! If I can anyone can!

PS The photo is with my brand new great niece...I am a great aunt already!

Advice:
Set a quit date & Stick to it! Stay here. I get more support here from complete strangers than I do from my loved ones @ home. Be tuff...don't puff!

Frequently Asked Question
Q: My family's hounding me about quitting, but I'm not sure I want to? answer
Quitticism
Weak Week
The last full week of Newbie-hood. QuitNet members are often dazed and confused after the two preceding weeks of Hell and Heck.
