My Quit:
Quitting smoking is my Proudest accomplishment (besides giving birth to my son)!

I smoked a pack a day for over 25 years and never thought I would be able to beat this insidious addiction.

But when both my parents died from smoking related illness...each at the age of 65 and within 5 years of each other, I knew I had to quit! I needed to take my life back!

So, after several *practice* quits, I finally made it! July 4, 2003 became my first *Independence Day!*

I am not sure I would have been able to do it without the support of the Q! The human spirit that makes up this place, is second to none! The gifts I have received from simply giving back by helping someone... are so much more than I could have ever imagined!

I celebrated 10 whole years today...July 4, 2013!

Advice:
The most difficult part of quitting is deciding you want to quit, more than you want to smoke! Be your own cause and take it one day at a time!

photoTake it one day at a time and remind yourself daily WHY you decided to quit. Make a list and read it whenever you get the craving.
