Frequently Asked Questions

Why doesn't Chat work?

If you are unable to access the QuitNet chat rooms, it most likely due to the fact that your internet browser doesn't support Java. WebTV users will not be able to access the chat rooms at all, as Microsoft has never supported Java with their WebTV products. If you are not a WebTV user, the best way to find out if your browser is Java compliant is to click on the "How to use chat" button and then click the "Browser Support" link. This will open up a new window for a website that will tell you if your browser is Java compliant. If it is not, they provide a link for you to download the Java Virtual Machine plugin to make your browser work with Chat.
